Demetris Leoni

Omonia Nicosia FC and Cyprus National Team

Demetris started his carrier in the academies of AEL Limassol FC.

The talented goalkeeper made his A-team debut for the Limassol Club in 1994 at the age of seventeen. His calmness, excellent reflexes and his ability to control and guide his defense line made Leoni a regular and irreplaceable player for the “yellows” of Limassol. Leoni had an excellent season in the season 2000-01 and as a result he was invited to join the National Squad.

In January 2003 Leoni was transferred to the Omonia Nicosia FC where he is now continuing his carrier as the regular A-team goalkeeper.

With Omonia Nicosia FC, Leonis enjoyed 1 Cup and 1 Super Cup.
